Deck Description

After buying the trial deck for a playset of Biara for my new Magnolia deck(s), I decided to build a "competitive" deck for Lianorn that doesn't break the bank...at least if you already have the effect triggers, or remember to preorder the reprints before set 7 releases (seriously, the only cards that get more expensive on release day in this game are the effect triggers, so grab those a day or two before when they are <$1 each if you don't have them already). If you find that the deck draws enough cards without the triggers, replace them with crits, making the deck cheaper anyway (this is just my standard "spine" for Stoicheia; my preferred archetype doesn't have enough draw power on its own). And when set 7 comes out, replace Groovy Dragon and two of those mentioned with Resonance Dragon. I don't like cards that mill more of your deck than you can get back, so Fraternal Maiden Aracelis will never enter the picture for me. Even if you have the money for it, I don't see any benefit to running the Grand March Lianorn upgrade except for 1 extra persona ride (which is certainly not worth $12 per copy). She puts you at the same hand disadvantage and costs an extra damage when Lianorn has no good CC options now and in the foreseeable future.

Update: I did not know the sealed deck only gives 2 Clapping Dragons, the deck's best draw card, and I had not paid attention to the ride line when I included Amalie. You will not have any soul left over after climbing all the way through without soul charging at least once, and the only card that fills soul here is Biara, so I removed Amalie. I replaced them with the remaining Groovy Dragons, which the deck does have, and more Urjula/Koocy. If those last two are out of your budget, you can just replace them with Purete and Upbeat Dragon, a grade 2 from the trial deck that exists to be sacced before turn 3, or Rotting Usurp Dragon, a grade 3 common from set 4 that is a free unit you can discard to ride. I personally think he's the best card in the nation. You'd also have room for 1 last Happy Dreaming Festa, which puts 2 units on the board from your deck.
