Ride Your Wave
Deck Description
That is my favorite romance and I will never not recommend it to anyone. This archetype looks adorably badass, right? Well, they struggle to hit over 33k, but their resource game is insane. As in, their resource denial game.
The idea is to maintain a constant field presence that grows in number the higher your grade. G1 and 2 vg get called when rode on, and Miumirilin, aka Giraffurtle, is a g2 that gets +5 on place when you have 3 Mystiark units, so the deck gets started fast. If you sb1, an opponent's rg does not restand. Combo this with Lullusmanta, aka Mantine, who sc1 and stops an opponent's rg restanding. You want to hit the same target because otherwise your opponent will just intercept with 1 and restand the other. Make one of their rgs entirely useless so they have to proactively remove it themselves. Giraffurtle's second effect seems pointless at first, but it lets you get all the sweet place effects again and move stuff around to have your strongest attackers forward. Alpiral, aka Sea Pegasus, gets +5 and a draw on place. With Giraffurtle and cc Usazastar, aka Killer Bunny (if you know, you know), there's no problem spending 3 damage on turn 3.
Now for the piece de resistance. On place, Lulluszuul, aka Milotic, which currently has the name of a deific servant from Ghostbusters in it that I'm sure will be changed in the localization, calls 1 unit from the top 7 of your deck, and if you have 5 units (4 rg), your opponent discards 1 no matter what. Hence, 4 Plague Doctor Dragon. Just resolve their drop and Mantine's ride effects before Milotic to force that discard every time. Don't worry about retiring the PDDs right after. Milotic also gives +1 attack if you can call a different named Mystiark from your hand as the one returned. You ideally want to do this in a column with Ilondrina, aka Platypenguin, who gives its front unit +5 whether it's standing or not.
All the Mystiarks mostly interact with only Mystiarks, so I maxed out on them, making the deck seem a little bland. But I think the space for a full set of Plague Doctor Dragon is just perfect. There's one Shieldfisher here for 2 reasons: to have a big beatstick that will always be able to attack in this deck; and to ride into a stronger vg in a big brain Danji move in case you run out of options and defense. Obviously don't do that if you can persona ride or survive next turn. The order card is actually bad in this deck because all it does is extend Milotic's search power at the cost of 1 unit, missing that discard. It's great in a devoted Shieldfisher deck, though, which is gonna be a thing that I also have on my page. This deck has such good draw power (watch out for that) that you don't need draw triggers, bolstering your defense with superior fronts. Obviously mull for personas and PDDs, and keep Giraffurtle.
